Apto, a data center developer backed by the investment groups Dromeus Capital of London and PIMCO of New York, intends to build a facility in Spata, near Athens International Airport.
The project, planned for phased development, involves an initial investment of €300 million ($326.95 million). The Greek state has expedited the process by providing pre-approval for the building permit and ensuring adequate energy supply. This fast-tracked approach positions the project for potential construction commencement by spring 2025 and operational launch by autumn 2026.
