Go to PodcastAsia Pacific Land (APL), a U.S. investment company, is building a major data center campus in Fukuoka prefecture, southern Japan. This project is slated to become the largest data center cluster on Kyushu, the southernmost main island.
The development includes six data centers built across a 122,000-square-meter area in Itoshima city. Construction is scheduled to kick off in spring of 2025, with the total investment projected to exceed $2 billion (300 billion yen). The first two buildings are expected to be operational in January 2029, and the sixth and final building will come online in December 2034.
