Battery storage developer AmpTank, in partnership with Greensky Energy, is planning to build a new data center in the Mustikkakangas industrial area of Utajärvi, Finland. The project, estimated to cost between €700-900 million, will be developed by the joint project company, Data Tank Nordic Oy.

Located about 60 kilometers east of Oulu in the region of North Ostrobothnia, the 10-hectare site will reportedly include battery energy storage. Technical design and permitting for the project are currently in progress, with construction expected to start in early 2026 and the data center becoming operational in 2027.
