NorthC: Groningen Westpoort Campus

NorthC's Groningen campus sits on Liverpoolweg in the Westpoort business park on the west side of Groningen, near the A7 and A28.

• Origins: KPN won the 2012 government tender for Overheidsdatacenter (ODC) Noord, part of the "Compacte Rijksdienst" consolidation. Digital Realty bought the partly built building in 2013 and leased it to KPN on a long-term triple-net lease. Agencies including DUO, CJIB, RDW, the Province and the Municipality house servers here through ODC-Noord.
• Ownership: KPN ran the site through NLDC and sold NLDC to DWS in 2019. DWS merged it with The Datacenter Group to form NorthC. Antin Infrastructure Partners acquired NorthC in 2026.
• Expansion: NorthC added a second building on the adjoining plot in 2022. It was Europe's first data center with green-hydrogen fuel-cell backup: a 500 kW Nedstack module plus a diesel generator.
• Power: Both buildings take 2 x 20 kV (N+1) feeds from the Enexis grid. The site runs on 100% certified green power.
