Data Center Campus
Japanese internet and data center company IIJ is expanding its Shiroi data center campus, located east of Tokyo in Chiba Prefecture's Shiroi City. The site will eventually include four buildings and house over 6,000 racks.
The first building was originally constructed in 2019 and underwent its first expansion in 2023. However, IIJ projected that the data center would reach its full capacity by 2026, necessitating the current expansion.
