Rowan Digital Infrastructure this week announced it closed a $1.24 billion of construction financing to build the second phase of its flagship hyperscale data center campus at TPG's Quantum Frederick site in Maryland.


Crypto firm DMG Blockchain Solutions Inc. this week announced it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with an undisclosed counterparty to purchase the infrastructure for 10MW worth of prefabricated air-cooled data centers for its deployment of generative AI facilities.


Saudi-based data center developer DataVolt is to build a facility in Riyadh. The company and the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) have agreed on land lease terms for the development of an AI-ready data center in Riyadh.


Italian oil giant Eni has signed a Letter of Intent with investment firm MGX and G42 to develop up to 1GW of data centers in Italy. The first project is planned around Ferrera Erbognone, in Lombardy, Italy, already home to Eni’s own data center, and will be developed in two phases of up to 500MW of IT capacity.


Iron Mountain has broken ground on its first data center in Miami-Dade County, Miami known as MIA-1. This facility will deliver 16MW of capacity across 150,000 sq ft (13,935 sqm) on a 3.4-acre site in Miami's District 12 and would be run on 100 percent carbon-free energy when operational in 2026.
