The just-bought colocation company Data Canopy took over the colocation data center hosting division of IT security provider Ntirety. The deal's terms were not disclosed. Data Canopy, founded in 2007, provides colocation, connectivity, and cloud services from numerous data centers worldwide. It operates out of facilities owned by third parties, including CyrusOne, Equinix, NTT, DC Blox, and Digital Realty, among others.
Data Canopy was acquired by rival colocation provider Intelishift last week, with the amalgamated entity to operate under the Data Canopy brand. Six data centers in Denver, Colorado; Dallas, Texas; Louisville, Kentucky; Irvine and San Francisco, California; and Newark, Delaware, provide colocation services for Intelishift clients.
Data Canopy currently operates the data centers where Ntirety's customers are hosted. According to the companies, customers will receive support from "an organization dedicated to hosted solutions."
Similar to Intelishift's acquisition of Data Canopy, Metropolitan Partners Group's investment facilitated Ntirety's acquisition.
