Swiss data center firm Green announced this week that construction on data centers N and O has commenced on the Metro-Campus Zurich in Dielsdorf. Combined, new 11,600 square meter facilities will offer 35MW and accommodate about 4,000 racks.
Roger Süess, CEO of Green, said, “Our growth reflects the rapid technology and digitalization push. Modern data centers are needed to ensure that this transformation can be realized in Switzerland quickly, securely, and sustainably. We’re doing our bit for the circular economy and supporting the energy transition through the use of waste heat as well as a number of other measures. We are convinced that future-oriented digitalization can only be achieved through sustainable data centers.”
Green currently operates three other facilities around the Zurich area. Zurich West will also expand to three facilities across 10,000 square meters. The second, Zurich City, is an underground facility the company acquired in 2016 and offers 3,200 square meters. Finally, Zurich North is a two-story facility covering 1,000 square meters.
