STACK INFRASTRUCTURE: Stack Infrastructure is expanding into Japan with a 36MW campus

Stack Infrastructure has revealed that it would be developing a 36MW data center campus in Japan. The facility will be located in Inzai, Chiba Prefecture, just outside Tokyo. Stack Infrastructure will be partnering with funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management LP on the project. The company will begin construction of the facility in Q2 2022. The first phase of the data center capacity is also scheduled to come online in Q4 2023. 

The facility will be built on a 2.3-hectare land. The campus will also have two buildings of 18MW capacity each. In addition, it can also be expanded in the future. The CEO of APAC at Stack Infrastructure, Pithambar Gona, said its expansion into Japan signifies its commitment to providing scalable infrastructure in markets with high importance to its clients. The Senior VP of Oaktree, Hideya Takahashi, commented on the development. He said Oaktree is delighted to be working with Stack on its expansion in a major data center market.
