SLB Partners With Liberty Energy On Data Center Power Solutions

Jul 15, 2026 | Posted by Abdul-Rahman Oladimeji

SLB and Liberty Energy are partnering to deliver modular power and infrastructure solutions for AI and high-performance data centers. The companies aim to accelerate deployments through behind-the-meter power systems that bypass traditional grid connection timelines.

"The bottleneck in AI infrastructure is no longer just compute. It is the ability to deliver infrastructure and power on the timelines the market now demands," said Gavin Rennick, president of SLB's New Energy and Industrial business. "By bringing together complementary infrastructure and power capabilities, we will help developers accelerate deployment of new data center capacity."

"The scale and complexity of AI energy infrastructure is fundamentally changing how power systems are built and deployed," added Ron Gusek, CEO of Liberty Energy. "Liberty's comprehensive power service platform is engineered to meet this transition, as customers increasingly prioritize tailored, integrated solutions. Building on our long-standing relationship with SLB, we are excited to bring power solutions that address immediate capacity constraints while supporting the next generation of energy systems."

SLB and Liberty Energy will also collaborate on hybrid power systems, digital energy management, and advanced power solutions for future data centers. SLB has delivered more than 1.3GW of modular infrastructure since 2024 and expects to exceed 2GW globally by year-end. Liberty Energy has also expanded its data center power activities, including a 1GW agreement with Vantage Data Centers and an MoU with DC Grid for off-grid gas generation.2026-0714-slb-liberty2.width-358.jpg
