Redaptive and Recurve Launch Platform to Unlock Grid Capacity for Data Centers

US energy solutions firm Redaptive and energy optimization company Recurve have launched a platform designed to reduce data centers’ time to power. The solution combines Redaptive’s financing and deployment capabilities with Recurve’s Flex platform, which measures and validates capacity created within data centers and across the grid. Redaptive will support cooling optimization, HVAC upgrades, battery storage for peak shaving, and energy management systems.

"Power is one of the biggest bottlenecks in data center growth right now," said Arvin Vohra, CEO of Redaptive. "Everyone's focused on new power sources, but a lot of the opportunity is already sitting inside the facilities they operate today."

Recurve will support the partnership through its Flex platform, which measures and verifies demand flexibility using smart meter data. For data centers, the platform can forecast how much capacity can be freed up through demand response, helping operators assess their participation while giving utilities greater confidence when planning grid capacity.

“The question is no longer simply where to build new infrastructure,” said Recurve CCO Ben Mendelson. “It’s how quickly we can create reliable capacity using available assets.” Founded in 2015, Recurve provides demand-flexibility software, while Redaptive, founded in 2014, finances and manages energy efficiency projects for commercial and industrial customers.GettyImages-844334040.width-358.jpg
