HyperDC Pty Ltd has filed plans for a large-scale data center campus in Moorabool, outside Melbourne, Australia. The company submitted a planning permit application to the Victorian government for the proposed development.
The project is planned for 715 Ballan Road, a largely vacant site outside Geelong, about 75km (47 miles) west of Melbourne. HyperDC describes itself as a data center developer. Its MBL1 site spans 39 hectares and is planned to provide 400MW of IT capacity. No further project details have been disclosed.
Gerard Adamsons is listed on LinkedIn as a director of HyperDC and previously worked at Australian residential developer Villawood Properties. The site is near the 300MW Victorian Big Battery, which uses 210 Tesla Megapacks, and AusNet Services’ Moorabool Terminal Station.
