Penta Infra announced this week that it is looking to extend its footprints to Germany and has begun constructing a new colocation data center in Hamburg. Once completed, this facility will offer 4.4MW across 2,500 square meters of white space. It will also be able to offer heat re-use as the front facade of the data center will be covered with integrated solar panels.

Patrick van der Wilt, chief commercial officer at Penta Infra, said, “We are excited to announce that we are constructing a new data center in Hamburg, a significant and strategic European market. Hamburg is more than just a city of trade; to us, it symbolizes a balance between robust economic activity and environmental awareness.”

He added, “Our decision to expand in Hamburg is also a testament to the considerable demand we've experienced from both existing and new customers. This new data center marks an exciting chapter in our ambition to expand our data center footprint throughout Europe.”

Penta Infra has 13 sites.
