Princeton Digital Group: PDG completes first phase of Tokyo data center

Data center operator Princeton Digital Group (PDG) has completed the first phase of its 96MW data center campus, TY1, in Tokyo, Japan which included the core and shell construction of a six-story facility, expected to supply 48MW of IT capacity.
The TY1 data center located in Saitama City, 30km north of central Tokyo, at full-build out the campus will offer more than 96MW of IT capacity across 60,000 sqm (650,000 sq ft) of gross floor space.
The CEO, chairman, and co-founder of PDG, Rangu Salgame, said: “The surge in demand for AI has brought about a pivotal change in the data center landscape. As one of the fastest growing data center providers, our $1 billion investment into TY1 demonstrates our commitment to Japan as part of our strong Pan-Asian growth strategy.”
