NTT: NTT strengthens its digital backbone in London with new data center

NTT has announced that in addition to opening its new data center, Hemel Hempstead 4, in London, it also intends to expand another of its facilities in the city. 

The company's newest facility opened in December 2021, with half of its capacity available. When fully built out beyond phase one, it will have a capacity of 24MW added to it with an addition of 9,600 sqm of space. Likewise, the company's London 1 facility in Dagenham, which first opened in 2020, is due for some change, too and looking ahead, the company intends to expand its capacity. 

Speaking about these developments, Masaaki Moribayashi, president and board director at NTT Ltd. said: "As the third-largest data center provider in the world, NTT continues to significantly accelerate our investment into the London and UK market as a key global location. This investment provides scalable data center and connectivity infrastructure for our clients' digital transformation needs."
