NTT: NTT Acquires Land For 336MW Campus in Northern Virginia

NTT Ltd. Has revealed that it had completed the acquisition of 103 acres of land in Gainesville, Northern Virginia. According to reports, the company paid around $257.4 million to Lerner Enterprises for the land. NTT will be using the land acquired to develop a data center campus. The company is looking to build a 336MW facility spanning over two million square feet (185,800 square meters) of data center space. The campus will also have four buildings. The first two-story building is scheduled to be completed in Q2 2024. Upon full buildout, the campus will be NTT’s largest data center campus in the country.

The President and CEO of NTT Ltd., Doug Adams, said the development of the Gainesville data center is proof that NTT is growing tremendously in North America. According to him, the strategic purchase of the site is one of the many ways NTT is using to increase its data center footprint across the US.
