NorthC to use Nokia’s Region Connect Ring to link its ten data centers

Sep 09, 2021 | Posted by Abdul-Rahman Oladimeji

NorthC has announced that Nokia provided an IP over a fiber network to link its 10 data centers in the Netherlands to offer one virtual facility to all its customers. NorthC is the biggest native colocation provider in the Netherlands, and it would be using Nokia’s Region Connect Ring to support cloud services with fast response times and low latency.

The Region Connect Ring works by using Nokia’s 7750 service routers with 1830 photonic service switches and network automation for offering Layer 2 IP/MPLS interconnection services between the ten facilities. With this, NorthC will be able to set up its network services in hours instead of days. This, in turn, helps increase efficiency.

NorthC Datacenters has 31 sites in 7 regions.

The heat pump ensures that the return water (hot water of approx. 25 ° C) from the data center flows through the heat pump and comes out again as cold water (12 ° C) which benefits the cooling plan...
