The National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies suggests the Nigeria Customs Service create a trade modeling data center. They have also advocated for establishing a pension institute for retired officials. NIPSS Director General Prof. Ayo Omotayo made this assertion during a courtesy visit to NCS headquarters in Abuja. He visited the nation’s captain last Thursday with his management team. He said the visit's main goal was to discuss trade-related issues that have hampered trade facilitation. In the conversation, Omotayo expressed faith and confidence in Customs' crucial role in trade facilitation.

As interim Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Adewale Adeniyi reaffirmed the service's commitment to workforce development. Adeniyi thanked the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) for promoting Nigerian trade. He expressed gratitude and pledged to expand engagement between his company or group and NIPSS.

In explaining this commitment, Adeniyi stressed the need for their cooperative efforts to develop scientific solutions for trade modeling and monitoring. He stressed that their role included overseeing and controlling lawful economic activity, especially at crucial country entry and exit points. The two chief executives decided on some areas of working together, including e-commerce, Curriculum Development, Data Fusion, and Management, after meeting behind closed doors with the teams from both sides.

A MoU between the two organizations was agreed to conclude this visit.
