New data center joint venture, Data Castle, launches

Data Castle, a new data center joint venture between Angelo Gordon and data center development management company DCD Data Center Developers, has announced plans to build and operate facilities in Germany. The JV will begin work on its plans in the town of Schwalbach am Taunus, just outside of Frankfurt with a 25MVA facility.

Speaking about this development, Dr. Christopher Stief, leading the company, said: "With the increasing demand for colocation and cloud solutions in Europe, we believe this is an ideal time to launch an innovative, new green data center platform, and we are confident that Angelo Gordon is the right partner for this endeavor.”

Adding: "With a highly experienced team, disruptive business model, and strong customer network, Data Castle is well positioned to become a predominant player in the heart of Europe’s data center market.”

There are 332 data centers in Germany / Deutschland.
