Facebook: More layoffs in store at Meta

Meta's job cuts continue, with the announcement last week that the giant is driving forward with its so-called "year of efficiency." CEO Mark Zuckerberg first announced massive cuts back in November; now, thousands more are set to be laid off. 

According to experts, while the first cuts were a streamlining effort, and saw 11,000 jobs slashed, this new round of cuts is believed to be motivated by financial targets, although Meta is yet to make an official comment on the motivations. 

It is expected that the cuts will most likely affect non-engineering roles. Further, reports are that the cuts could match that of last year's.
