Romanian media Profit.ro reports that Microsoft plans to develop its first data center in the company. Microsoft buying a plot of land in the city of Otopeni is a major catalyst of this speculation. Microsoft did not deny or confirm the story reported by Profit.ro. However, the company said it has many ongoing projects in the country and would be revealed to the public when the time is right.

Microsoft's only presence in the European country is in a rented space in the Campus 6 campus owned by S Immo. Skanska developed the facility before it was sold to S. Immo later.
