According to Biz Journal, Meta will be the first tenant at the new large data center campus in Kansas, Missouri. Plans for a Golden Plains Technology Park, also known as Project Velvet, were first submitted in 2021. The developer has plans for a 510,000 square meters (5.5 million square feet) data center with 16 buildings at the site.
