Meeza: Meeza expands in Qatar with fourth data center

Meeza is launching its fourth data center building, namely M-Vault 4, which is to be the biggest in Qatar and due to host a new Microsoft cloud region in Doha. According to reports, this data center building will help to accelerate Qatar’s digital transformation agenda. Further details outlining the size and capacity of the building are yet to be released.
Commenting on the launch, Minister Mohammid bin Ali Al-Mannai, who opened the building, commented: “We are pleased to launch the M-VAULT 4 data center. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Meeza for their efforts in bringing this data center building to completion, which will contribute to providing more cloud hosting services and is considered a new important milestone in Qatar Azure Region journey that we have embarked on in partnership with Microsoft.”
He added: “Organizations in Qatar and region will soon be able to benefit from the innovative solutions provided by Qatar Azure cloud region, that keep pace with the development of the era and drive growth.”
Ali Al-Mannai said the center will promote technological development and digital transformation in Qatar and additionally improve investment opportunities in different local sectors. This, according to the minister, fits into the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
Meanwhile, Ahmad Abdulla Al-Muslemani, CEO of Meeza, said: “We are very pleased to inaugurate the new data center building M-VAULT 4.” Ahmad Abdulla Al-Muslemani added that the building will contribute to “strengthening” the technological infrastructure “necessary” to “enhance the level of cloud services in Qatar and compete with a global market.”
Lana Khalaf, country manager at Microsoft Qatar, commented that Microsoft Qatar is proud to partner with the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to “bring the power of the Microsoft Cloud to customers in Qatar and the surrounding region in the most sustainable way.”
