Investment and real estate firms Harrison Street and Lincoln Property Company plan to develop an industrial campus and data center in New Albany, Ohio. Both companies have formed a joint venture for this purpose. The JV has purchased a 190-acre site to develop a multipurpose technology and distribution park that will serve industrial and data center operators and users. According to specifications, the data center campus will accommodate about 1.2 million square feet of data center space while having a capacity of 144MW of critical IT load. It will be designed to serve hyperscalers.
The MD and Head of Digital Real Estate at Harrison Street, Michael Hochanadel, said New Albany has immense potential to be a top data center market. He noted that the development aligns with the company’s investment strategy. Lincoln Property Company will begin work on the campus’s first phase immediately. In addition, Lincoln Property’s data center unit, Lincoln Rackhose, will also start work on the data center campus in earnest. An electrical sub-station with a 200MVA capacity will also be constructed on the site.
