Involta plans Tuscon data center expansion

Dec 19, 2023 | Posted by Abdul-Rahman Oladimeji

US data center operator Involta recently revealed plans to expand its Tucson facility in Arizona at the 38,000 square feet to 1MW. This facility located at 1215 East Pennsylvania Street was launched in January this year. It currently offers capacity for 600 racks across 20,000 sq ft of technical space.

Ken Kremer, CTO of Involta said, “Our expansion in this key market provides colocation opportunities built to an enterprise’s specifications and Involta’s industry-leading standards to meet current and future demands. Tucson is highly desirable due to several factors, including tax incentives, investments in innovation, and focus on increasing efficiencies to reduce power consumption.”

Involta was launched in 2007 following the merger of Technology Resources Company and CoVault Technology. The company was acquired by the Carlyle Group from M/C Partners in 2021. Involta currently operates 11 data centers across Minnesota, Ohio, Arizona, Idaho, Iowa, and Pennsylvania.
