Interxion PAR12 Ferrières-en-Brie: Interxion opens PAR12 on the East side of Paris

Interxion has announced the opening of its new data center outside Paris, France. Besides, the data center is also the Company’s 12th in the French capital region. The PAR12 facility is located 30km to the east of Paris in Ferrières-en-Brie. It has up to 12MW of IT capacity. It also has over 6427 square feet (690 sqm) of colocation space spread across eight data halls.

The Company revealed that the new facility would help its enterprise customers deploy disaster recovery scenarios from the east of France and Paris by using low latency networks that are deployed across the A4 motorway. Fabrice Coquio, MD of Interxion France, said the facility is in a strategic location that helps it meet the demand of cloud and content providers that want a third hub in the Paris region. He also added that the facility would allow enterprises in the east of France to improve their infrastructure’s resilience since it is close to Paris and connected to a robust low latency network.
