French multinational telco company, Iliad Group, has signed four Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) across France, Poland, and Italy for 60MW of power. In France, the company signed two PPAs, including its first wind PPA, with renewable developer H2air.
“With these four new projects, we’re passing another milestone by doubling our number of PPAs. And we’re also demonstrating that the telecoms sector can map out its development sustainably and responsibly, in a way that combines technological progress with environmental stewardship,” Thomas Reynaud, CEO of Illiad, said.
In Poland, Iliad’s Polish subsidiary, Play, signed a PPA with R.Power for 18MW of power from a solar farm in Kaczory, in the Greater Poland region. The agreement, which will commence from January 1, 2026, will see R.Power supply Play with 20GWh of energy per year.
“Through this PPA, we are not only securing stable supplies of green energy for a key player in the telecommunications market, but also supporting the large-scale development of solar power in Poland,” said Rafał Hajduk, chief commercial officer at R.Power.
