Hyperscale Data Inc., through its subsidiary Alliance Cloud Services (ACS), has acquired around 48.5 acres in southwest Michigan, more than doubling its footprint in the area to 83 acres. The deal is expected to close within 60 days, as the company plans to divest the ACS subsidiary in the first quarter of the year.

The Michigan site sits on 34.5 acres at 415 East Prairie Ronde Street, Dowagiac. Acquired in May 2022, the 617,000 sq ft (57,320 sqm) facility was originally built in 1972 as a manufacturing space. Hyperscale is repurposing part of it from Bitcoin mining to HPC and colocation. By early 2025, the data center offered 28MW of IT capacity. In February 2025, Hyperscale announced plans to expand to 340MW. The first Nvidia GPUs were installed in March 2025, though the specific number and type were not disclosed.

In announcing the land acquisition, Hyperscale said the purchase allows it to expand its Michigan campus and “continue to address the surging demand for AI and high-performance computing.”

CEO Will Horne added: “This is a significant step for ACS as we expand our footprint in Michigan. The acquisition provides additional space for future development and underscores our long-term commitment to Southwest Michigan and our operations there.”

Hyperscale Data, Inc. has 2 sites.
