HostDime Colombia: HostDime Opens New Data Center in Bogota, Colombia

HostDime has announced the launch of its new data center in Bogota, Colombia. The CEO of HostDime, Manny Vivar, announced and posted a comment on LinkedIn about the development. He said: "As the sun settles tonight, we reflect with gratitude all the hard work our HostDime Colombia 🇨🇴 familia has put to get this next-generation purpose-built Public Tier IV Data Center online last month in Bogota, Colombia." "Fully operational and ready to service the local Colombia market needs of the public & private cloud providers, hybrid clouds, multi-clouds, interconnection ecosystem, network peering, businesses, and enterprise colocation."

The 70,000 square feet purpose-built data center is located in an industrial park in North Bogota. The facility has a capacity of 6MW. In addition, it is certified Tier IV by Uptime. The Bogota data center was first announced in 2020, with plans to come online in the Summer of 2022. The company noted that the data center would be developed in four phases and deliver up to 4,600 square meters (50,000 square feet) of IT space upon full build-out.
