In McAllen, Texas, Fifteenfortyseven Critical Systems Realty (1547) and Harrison Street have bought a carrier hotel. The two corporations have acquired Chase Tower in McAllen, a 17-story building with a total area of around 209,000 square feet. The specifics of the transaction were not made public.
As part of the transaction, 1547 and Harrison Street also purchased CarrierCom, a 1998-founded, Chase Tower-based single-location data center provider.

The facility will be owned and operated by the business's joint venture. At the same time, 1547 will have immediate connectivity and data center stock in the building, with further conditioned space and power available in 2024. The Chase Tower, sited at 200 S. 10th Street in McAllen and constructed in 1980 as the Neuhaus Tower for McAllen State Bank, was formerly known as the Neuhaus Tower. The McAllen Data Center firm provides space at the complex, with more than 45 providers and two carrier-neutral meet-me-rooms.

Data centers for 1547 are located in Cheyenne, Wyoming; Orangeburg, New York; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Kapolei, Hawaii; Portland, Oregon; and two in Chicago, Illinois. It has previously teamed with Valterra Partners, Harrison Street, and CIM Group, among others. The company intends to construct a 150MW site west of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Harrison Street joined with 1547 in 2021 to buy the Pittock Block carrier hotel in Portland, Oregon, for $326 million and bought CIM Group's share in four US data centers co-owned by 1547. Harrison and 1547 have collaborated on other data center deals in the past, including the Wells Building carrier hotel in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
