Google: Google signs first wind PPA in Poland

Google has signed its first Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)  to procure renewable energy in Poland . Following this agreement with Polsat Plus Group, Google will now offtake from the company’s wind farm in Przyrów to power Google Cloud’s operations.

Tara Brady, president, Google Cloud EMEA said, “We are very pleased to partner with Polsat Plus Group to support their digital transformation goals and more broadly Poland’s transition towards locally-produced, carbon-free electricity. This renewable energy coupled with our carbon-intelligent computing platform helps us to run meaningfully cleaner cloud regions and offices."
