Google has outlined plans for a proposed data center development in Botetourt County, Virginia. Known as Project Raspberry, details of the project were revealed in a notice issued by the US Army Corps of Engineers’ Norfolk District.

Planned for a 343.6-acre site within the Greenfield Industrial Campus in Daleville, Botetourt County, Virginia, the project includes three data center buildings of around 300,000 sq ft each, along with three substations and a 28,000 sq ft office building.

The US Army Corps of Engineers is currently seeking comments from the public, government agencies, tribal representatives, and other stakeholders on the proposed development.

Google purchased 312 acres of the site in June 2025 for a reported $14 million and agreed to invest $4 million in community projects in Botetourt County.

In August 2025, Google revealed it would invest $9bn in its data center footprint in Virginia. This included a new data center in Chesterfield County and the expansion of the existing facilities in Loudoun and Prince William Counties. Botetourt County was unmentioned. In Richmond, Google is developing "Project Peanut," also a three-building campus.
