Google: Google Gets Land in Bissen, Luxemburg Reclassified For Potential $1B Data Center

Google has announced that its land in Bissen, Luxemburg, has finally been reclassified for data center use. The company confirmed that construction can now begin on the land, which is planned for a €1 billion ($1bn) data center. Once completed, this will be one of the most significant constructions in the country. In addition, it will be the country's largest single electricity user.

Despite the land getting reclassification, Google failed to confirm when the construction would take place or if it would take place at all. There has been a long delay in developing the data center as Google started planning to develop the data center in 2020. Environmental reviews, land zoning issues, and government approval processes have been responsible for the delay in the data center development.
