Google has announced that it is developing a data center in Omaha, Nebraska. The new data center will be located close to Blair High Road and State Street, northwest of Omaha. Although Google didn’t share the specifications of the data center, it revealed that it would invest up to $750 million in developing it. Per documents filed with Omaha, the facility will house four data center buildings spanning 1.4 million square feet. It could also take Google between 18 to 24 months to complete the project.

The managing director for Google Cloud’s central region, Stacy Trackey Meagher, said the development would bring more resources for its customers to expand their businesses while using digital services. She added that it would also present amazing opportunities to the Omaha community. Google already has two facilities in Omaha; one across the border in Iowa and the other in Papillion, Nebraska.
