Singapore-based Galaxy DC has raised $250 million to fund its data center platform in an initial strategic financing round from a global investment institution. The company did not disclose the identity of the investor.
Galaxy DC said the funding will support “GW-scale AI data center campuses across Southeast Asia,” though it did not disclose timelines, locations, or project sizes. Galaxy DC (Galaxy Data Center) is owned by Hoyinn Technologies, a Chinese technology company.
Galaxy DC, based in Singapore, should not be confused with Galaxy Data Centers in London or Galaxy Digital in the US. The company is focused on developing data center projects across Southeast Asia. Last August, it announced plans to invest $2 billion in a computing cluster at Silicon Tech Park, a technology park west of Rayong, Thailand.
