An unnamed Fortune 200 tech company plans to build a $750 million data center campus on about 750 acres between Perrysburg and Bowling Green in northern Ohio. This company is also undergoing deals and negotiations through a shell company, Liames LLC.

Middleton Township trustees discussed plans for the project and have adopted a resolution supporting it. Wade Gottschalk, executive director of the Wood County Economic Development Commission, mentioned that the construction, expected to begin in 2026 and is set to go live in 2023, will reportedly include several 300,000 to 400,000-square-foot buildings with landscaping and water features in between the data storage facilities.

Though tax payments on the facility are not expected to flow for the first few years, the project is expected to be very lucrative for the two area school districts, with Eastwood potentially receiving about $800,000 annually with a 75% tax reduction.

Eastwood Superintendent Brent Welker confirmed that there will be a financial benefit with the new buildings. He added, "If and when, then we'll begin to plan for it. Until such time, there's really no reason to speculate."
