Ericsson has announced that it has improved its remote management feature on Etisalat Egypt's network. According to the two companies, the addition of this new feature will enable Etisalat to better regulate its energy usage and bolster efficiency.
Ericsson shared that the feature will help the company save up to 40 percent in fuel costs and carbon dioxide emissions. This reportedly extends the diesel generator's lifetime while also reducing overhauling frequency by up to 50 percent.

Ekow Nelson, Vice President and Head of the Global Customer Unit for e& at Ericsson Middle East and Africa, commented: "As networks evolve with more complexity added at the site level, Ericsson provides operators with a smart way to manage their sites with greater efficiency. The region is turning its attention to greater and more impactful sustainability practices, and we are well-placed to enable network connectivity through intelligent and green energy site solutions for long-term business success."
