Trinasolar International System Business Unit (ISBU), Trinasolar’s solar and battery storage (BESS) development arm, has signed a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Equinix for 30MW of solar power in Japan, marking Equinix’s first in the Japanese market.
“Our first PPA in Japan empowers our customers to confidently pursue aggressive decarbonization objectives, knowing the energy consumption of their data center operations at Equinix is covered by renewable energy," Kuniko Ogawa, managing director and president of Equinix Japan said
"This is our first corporate solar power agreement in Japan. We look forward to fostering further partnerships with corporate offtakers that drive the country's green energy transformation," said Feng Chen, director, Trinasolar ISBU Japan.
