Element Critical Austin: Element Critical acquires data center in Austin, Texas

Element Critical has announced it is expanding into the Austin market after acquiring a 62,000 square feet data center in Austin, Texas. It named the new facility Austin One. It is also the Company’s second data center facility in Texas. Austin One is designed to support up to 7MW of critical IT load. This will help Element Critical provide the right support for its customers in the Austin data center market.
The facility currently serves 60+ enterprise customers. It also supports multiple enterprises that have headquarters or offices in Texas. Besides, Austin One also has a newly completed 2MW data hall. This data hall is concurrently maintainable with N+1 redundancy. Element Critical says it plans to add up to 6MW of additional capacity over the next 1-2 years.
CEO of Element Critical, Ken Parent, commented that the Company is dedicated to making the Austin market a strong foothold. He added that the Company would be able to support production and Disaster Recovery environments between Austin and Houston with its facilities in Austin and Houston.
