Edge Centres' Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Edge Facility To Come online in July

Edge Centres has started working on its Edge data center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Australian Edge data center company announced that it would be expanding into Asia. The first facility called EC31 is being developed in Malaysia. Edge Centres scheduled the site to be completed in July. The company announced on LinkedIn that its EC31 Kuala Lumpur data center is now under construction. Edge Centres said the site is its first in Asia and would be completed in less than eight weeks. 

According to Edge, the EC31 data center will be an internal pod, while the EC51 data center in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, will be an external pod. The company also revealed that it is exploring sites in Ipoh, Johor, and Penang in Malaysia. It is also looking for suitable locations in Japan, Vietnam, and the Philippines. 

There are 83 data centers in Kuala Lumpur.
