DXN Secures Deal with Unnamed Neocloud to Deliver Modular Data Center

DXN has been chosen by an undisclosed neocloud provider to deliver a modular data center solution. The contract, valued at AU$8.8 million (US$6.29 million), will see DXN design, engineer, manufacture, and commission an AI HPC modular data center system for the client, providing a total capacity of 1.36MW.

The data center pod will include integrated power systems, direct-to-chip liquid cooling, fire suppression, and building management systems, and will support rack densities of up to 150kW. DXN said manufacturing will begin immediately after contract signing, with fabrication carried out at its Welshpool, Western Australia facility. The unit is expected to be commissioned at the customer’s site in the United States within six months.

DXN's MD, Shalini Lagrutta, said: "This AI HPC contract is a defining milestone for DXN, further reinforcing our US delivery track record and the next step in DXN's growing global footprint. Securing a publicly listed, US-based neocloud operator further validates DXN's strategic direction and execution over the last three years: productizing our modular data center capability specifically for the high-density AI inference market."

Lagrutta said the contract was awarded ahead of a larger, campus-scale program. The initial deployment will serve as a pilot proof-of-concept, with an architecture specifically designed to be expandable for future large-scale development. According to DXN, the customer has indicated that if the pilot is successful, the project could scale into a contract worth more than US$200 million. While the neocloud client has not been identified, relatively few neocloud companies are currently publicly listed. One example is US-based CoreWeave, which filed for an IPO in March 2025.
