Digital Realty Trust: Digital Realty Expanding in Dallas, Texas With $59m Data Center

Digital Realty has plans to develop a new facility in Dallas, Texas. The data center firm filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation to develop the data center in the Lewisville area of Dallas. The company coined the development ‘Project Gold’ and is looking to invest up to $59m in building the single storage shell data center. The facility will also accommodate three data halls on a 17,000 square meters (182,969 square feet) site located at 2501 Edmonds Lane in Lewisville.

Digital Realty is also looking to develop a generator yard, a guardhouse, and an office shell on the site. Construction is scheduled to begin in November 2022 and be completed in November 2024. The company currently operates 13 data centers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It also has a data center each in Austin and Houston.
