AI chip startup DensityAI has raised hundreds of millions of dollars in funding at a $10 billion valuation. According to The Information, Andreessen Horowitz is in talks to lead the round, while DensityAI has reportedly secured a purchase agreement with AWS based on performance requirements. Amazon and Andreessen Horowitz declined to comment, while DensityAI did not respond to requests for comment.

DensityAI was founded in 2025 by former Tesla Dojo leaders Ganesh Venkataramanan, Bill Chang, and Ben Floering. Tesla CEO Elon Musk dissolved the Dojo team in August 2025, with 20 employees leaving to join DensityAI. In January 2026, Musk said Tesla had “some headroom” to revive the Dojo chip project.

DensityAI plans to develop its own data center chips using a “unique approach” to memory arrangement, including 3D DRAM stacking to improve performance and energy efficiency. The startup has previously raised funding from Dolby Family Ventures, South Park Commons, Firestreak Ventures, and others. The amount raised and its previous valuation have not been disclosed.micheile-henderson-lZ_4nPFKcV8-unsplash.width-358.webp
