APAC data center company DayOne plans to expand its data center in Thailand, eventually scaling the Chonburi Tech Park (CTP) campus to 1GW.

Having broken ground on the first facility in March, the company will have 180MW of grid capacity. The CTP1 data center, which is still under construction, will now grow to 300MW with an expansion on 16.3 acres of adjacent land.

“The expansion of DayOne’s hyperscale data center at our Chonburi campus marks a significant milestone for both Amata and Thailand," Vikrom Kromadit, chairman of Amata, said. "Through the collaborative efforts of all parties, we are creating the infrastructure and sustainable utilities global investors need to succeed.”

“Our strong commitment in Thailand reflects DayOne’s belief in this market as a core pillar of our regional growth strategy," DayOne CEO Jamie Khoo said. "The continued growth of our Chonburi campus puts us on a clear path toward a 1GW platform that will serve the region’s long-term digital future.
