Oklahoma: Data centers planned for Muskogee and near Oktaha

Two data centers are reportedly on their way to Muskogee County; it has been announced. YZY Capital Holdings, LLC, is the New York-based private equity firm behind the project and has announced that it will inject $100 million into the construction and operation of the centers on the 136.5-acre parcel of land.

The first facility, which will be operational by March, will be built on 15 acres of land near Oktaha. Meanwhile, the second will be located on 126.5 acres of land at John T. Griffin Industrial Park in the south of Muskogee. The firm has said this second facility will be finished by the second quarter of next year and operational in the final quarter of the following year.

According to the company, ​​when both facilities are completed, they will require 40 workers, with employees earning $60,000 per year. Likewise, according to KJRH - 2 News Oklahoma, the investment will result in $1 million each year in new property tax revenue, 75% of which will be funneled into Muskogee county schools.
