Custodian Data Centres has revealed that it would be building a new data center in Dartford, Kent. The proposed data center called DA2 will have 10MW of capacity, and it would be located outside southeast London. Custodian DC says the facility is scheduled to be in operation by Q2 2022.
The data center firm broke ground on the facility earlier in September. The data center will be built in three phases, and upon completion, it will have 2,500 square meters (26,900 square feet) of space with a capacity to accommodate up to 800 racks. CEO of Custodian Data Centres, Rowland Kinch, noted that business environments are now being shaped by uptime, digital security, and energy efficiency. He said Custodian believes that its service-first philosophy gives organizations looking to move away from the crowded London Docklands a competitive choice.
Custodian Data Centres was established in 2009. It operates five data centers across southeast England and London.
