CloudHQ: CloudHQ Has Begun Development of a 228MW Data Center Facility in Brazil's So Paulo

A new hyperscale facility is being built by data center company CloudHQ in Brazil's state of So Paulo. A groundbreaking ceremony was performed by the company in Paulina. It will be CloudHQ's first location in the region and in South America. According to reports, the new 228MW complex will have up to six buildings and more than $3 billion in investment. There will be three buildings in the first phase, each with a 48MW capacity. A 225MW power substation, with a potential for 400MW, will supply the campus. In the first half of 2024, the transmission lines connecting the facility to the grid are expected to be finished. Afonso França Engenharia is responsible for civil construction projects.
Hossein Fateh, co-founder and CEO of DuPont Fabros Technologies, established CloudHQ in 2016. The company has data center projects in the works or already Elk River and Minneapolis, Minnesota; completed in London and Oxfordshire, UK; Culpeper, Ashburn, and Manassas, Virginia; Mount Prospect, Illinois; and outside of Paris, France. The business also provides a list of upcoming projects in Queretaro, Mexico; Rio de Janeiro, Italy; Amsterdam, Netherlands; Brazil; Milan; and Frankfurt, Germany on its website. According to Governor Tarcio de Freitas, each investment's entrance must be celebrated. The corporation is really honored that this investment is being made in the State of Sao Paulo and in Paulinia because it is their largest project in the Southern Hemisphere.
