San Francisco Bay Area: CIM Group Lists a 24MW Purpose-built Data Center For Lease in San Francisco

JLL and CIM Group have listed a new purpose-built data center for lease. The data center is located at 400 Paul Avenue in San Francisco, California. The data center offers 24MW of power across 182,250 square feet of two-story powered shell building on 7.3 acres. Per additional information in the listing, the data center has 12MW of electrified utility connection and a further 12MW utility feed which is committed by PG&E. The site currently has five generators that provide 10MW of power. In addition, 18 generators with a total capacity of 36MW of backup power have been approved for the project.

Plans for the data center were first announced in 2017 as a joint project between CIM Group and 1547 CSR. Both companies acquired the land from Cambay Group. Work on the data center was completed in 2021. Two office buildings are also located on the site.
