Bridge Kidex Sedenak MY06-01: Bridge Data Centres announces launch of new facility in Johor, Malaysia

Bridge Data Centres (BDC), a ChinData-owned company, has announced the opening of the first phase of the MY06 data center in Sedenak, located within the Sedenak Tech Park (STeP) in Johor, Malaysia. Part of its 110MW project, phase 1 covers the first of three buildings across the 38-acre site.
The grand opening was attended by ChinData, TikTok-owner ByteDance, which will be the anchor tenant of the site, the Chief Minister of Johor and other dignitaries.
Speaking about the launch of the first phase, Lim DZ Shing, President of Bridge Data Centres, commented: "I would like to express my gratitude to the Digital Investment Office (DIO), Invest Johor, and Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) for their tremendous assistance and support for this project. We look forward to a long-term partnership with the Malaysian government as we expand our business in Malaysia to support our clients."
Teresa Tan, Director of Public Policy, Southeast Asia, ByteDance, added: "We are excited to partner with BDC in our data center operations. The commitments we are making today reflect our continued investment into the growth of Malaysia's digital economy. As we continue to provide interconnected online experiences to people across the globe while offering them world-class privacy and security protections, we look forward to working closely with the Malaysian government to expand its data governance leadership globally."
