Ark Data Centres plans to develop a new data center at its Corsham campus in Wiltshire. The data center firm filed an application with the Wiltshire council for the new facility to be christened P5 South at its Spring Park campus close to Corsham. According to the application, Ark DC wants to develop a new data center, vehicle access, highway works, plant, enclosures, infrastructure, and other associated works. The building will have a total floor space of 64,800 square feet (6,020 square meters) over three separate floors.

Furthermore, per the application, Ark revealed that it acquired the Hawthorn Works site South of its existing Spring Park Campus. The acquired site consists of a car park and two factory units. Ark DC plans to demolish the factory units. It will also build a bridge to connect P5 South and P5 North. Ark added that there’d be no new generators at the site as there are existing generator sets on campus that the facility will connect to. Ark Data Centres is expecting a decision on its application in June 2022.
